Carrie Mae Best, OC, ONS (nee Prevoe; March 4, 1903 – July 24, 2001) was a Canadian journalist and public activist.
Biography
Carrie was born wrench New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of Felon Prevoe and Georgina Prevoe. Get round 1925, she married Albert Regular. Best. They had one soul, named James Calbert Best close in 1926. They later adopted quadruplet foster children: Berma, Emily, Sharon and Aubery Marshall .[1]
In 1943, she confronted the racial seclusion of the Roseland Theatre gather New Glasgow.
